CDL’s Global Network
Along with its London-based hotel arm, Millennium & Copthorne Hotels Limited (M&C), the Group has over 130 hotels and over 40,000 rooms worldwide, many in key gateway cities.
Building on its track record of over 55 years in real estate development, investment and management, CDL has developed growth platforms in five key international markets — China, UK, US, Japan and Australia.
Established in August 2010, CDL China Limited (CDL China) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CDL. As the China arm of CDL, CDL China is in charge of the expansion efforts within the PRC and oversees the real estate development and investment activities there. CDL China currently has a presence in Chongqing, Shanghai and Suzhou.
Over the past ten years, CDL China has acquired five development sites totalling over 530,000 square metres of gross floor area. The sites are located in Shanghai, Suzhou and Chongqing, and range from residential and commercial developments to sizable mixed-use projects.
Since then, CDL China has diversified its business to include asset investment and management and expanded into the fast-growing sectors of co-working space and residential leasing in China.
In the UK, CDL has invested in eight prime freehold properties in Greater London. It has also made strategic investments in Tokyo, Japan and Brisbane, Australia.
